Awesome show.

5 stars
I saw the trailers and recognized the female lead, Christina Cox, from her role in 'Crow: Stairway to Heaven'. I tuned in based on that, at first I wanted to write it off as a watered down Forever Knight(ironically I found that on DVD this week, Christina also appeared in an ep. as Joan of Arc.) I gave it some time, seeing nothing better in the time slot. How lucky I was. The show is it's own entity and I now see any similarities to FK that may linger, as positives. Blood Ties is a rightful heir to any lingering legacy of shows like Forever Knight, and with Bones returning to Fox the same week, I can say that any fans of Bones should check out Blood Ties. The romantic triangle and chemistry between the three leads could carry entire episodes if need be, but also works as an over arcing 'B story' through out the series' run.

Bloody good Vampire series(bad pun. I know)

5 stars
Great show, shame it lasted only 8 episodes.(I heard the lead actor was killed in a motorcycle accident.)

It was a novel way to incorporate various incarnations of the Vampire into one great show.

I watched it when it first aired, back in the 90's, and the memory of it lingered in the back of my mind until a few years back when I started looking for TV on DVD. It was one of the first added to my collection.

A little more cheese than I remember.

3 stars
I was 10 when the show originally aired, and being quite a Superman fan I had relatively fond memories of the show. The show actually holds up quite well, save for the dated special effects. My biggest complaint is the half hour format that, to me anyway, makes the stories feel somewhat rushed. As Smallville, and Lois and Clark have shown, the best format for the Big Boyscout on TV is in a 1 hour show.

That said, I would recommend the show for any 'Super' fan, and I am waiting and hoping that Season 2 is coming soon.
