Ahhh...

5 stars
Such a relief to have some smart witty comedy back on TV. I love all the characters on this show, I cannot decide which one I like the best. The writing, I imagine is Tina Fey, is quipy and sharp, but not over everyone's head. I love her character- I can connect with her more than most women characters. The physical comedy of Tracy Morgan is hilarious, just in his face gestures alone. And who can resist the charm and absurdity of Alec Baldwin's character.
Thank you NBC for some good new shows. Thursday's 30rock is a great dessert to the hearty Monday night Studio 60. Don't let the gourmet shows disappear in the fast food programming.

Aaron, You had me at Sport's Night...

2 stars
I fell in love in 1998- long before Studio 60, and when West Wing felt like a rebound relationship. It was Sport's Night; Aaron Sorkin's first scribed flirting that turned into a long love affair. I was lured by the fast paced humor with dialogues that trotted so quickly, I had to watch it over and over to sense all the little jokes and innuendos.
So when Studio 60 emerged, it was just rekindling the infatuation. Aaron Sorkin never ceases to amaze me. He does not fall back on dialogue of dull moaning as many other shows tend to do. In turn, he keeps a pace and an enthusiasm in his writing that gives me the impression that his manic characters are not far from the truth.

And let us say, a "Well done Sir," to Mr. Matthew Perry. What a good transition from everybody’s Friend, to a deliciously complex brooding writer. Bradley Whitford went seamlessly from President's Staff to Studio Producer. Sorkin continues to charm with the enjoyable banter, and I am loving the character development. I just hope all the relationships that we know are going to work out, don't until far into second season.
Here is what I have to say about Studio 60- watch it, love it, and soon you will be thinking of it fondly....
