Love the show. dave's brief 'monologue' is more of a gesture
or homage to the early forms. The next half hour
is the funniest on tv. Bit after bit ( his mini-rants, top ten,
interaction with the 'hip obsessed' paul, the personal observations, the irony/sacasm of "will it float" and "know your cuts of meat", johnnys 'stump the band', ultimate nice guy rubert, cranky allen, etc) the show is just the best on tv today.No one come close.
Jay Lame-o's 'ha ha' sophomoric jokes are from another time.
Dave also isn't afraid to ask the tough questions-the arrogant never come back.

May be the best sitcom on tv now.. Its the best
one you have probably never have seen thats for sure.
try to catch a show-usually on mondays at 8pm on cw.
its not on the 'big 4' so you may have to check your local listings. Its like an updated, hip 'wonder years' -only waaay funnier. chris
rock knows whats funny,(although his movies sometimes miss) his running voiceover here is hysterical.
You'll be hooked if watch just once!

although this show has great credits,
i have never seen sooo many dumb characters in one place on the tv screen
at least tony soprano is smart enough to get therapy.
time after time these guys make stupid choices in their lives.
as an irish person i am insulted. the irish should be incensed!
the scripts seemed overly designed to be edgy and unlike the
sopranos there is no subtext to anything. no occasional irony or parody. turn the tv off and read a good irish writer. there are lots of them..

Fine potential here. detailed characters and stories.
Very fine (green) metacritic ratings. i like the humor and interplay.
I think abc should give it a better lead in. and i can't remember
anyone from the show on the 'talk show circuit' and how about trying some 'virtual p r' on the internet (an oddball,' unusual' commercial, etc). publicizing the reviews fm the l a times, sun-times, entertainment weekly, etc.. the modest rating can be fixed....where is creative abc support for this show? get the word out!!!!
