No wonder this show is so popular...

4 stars
After watching several episodes of the syndicated version of this show, I can honsetly say that Canadians can make better TV shows than we can! This show, originally broadcast on Canada's CTV network, features some top-notch acting from the young cast, and the issues these charatcers face affect every teenager. It is a modern day spinoff of a series that aired in the 80s in Canada, which was later broadcast on PBS. My only complaints about the syndicated version is that all of the episodes are not shown, only the ones from the first four seasons, and they don't air in chronological order. My basic cable package doesn't include The N, which airs the newest episodes, so I'm stuck with the limited syndicated version that airs on the weekends on our MyNetworkTV affiliate. Parents should be advised that the subject matter is mature in nature, sometimes intense, and therefore is best suited for teenagers over the age of 14.

The new host and new format sucks

1 stars
This show debuted 12 years ago and was a fresh and innovative entertainment news program. Ever sinced Mario Lopez became the main host, this show has turned into tabloid trash, similar to the crap Geraldo Rivera did back when he had a daytime show. The new format is confusing, the host is annoying and I cannot stand the lack of quality stories on the show. In my opinion, "Entertainment Tonight" has been and always will be the best entertainment news show on TV, and any other imitator is just plain horrible.

This is actually a religious show

3 stars
Whoever said that "Breakthrough" had to deal with dead people and psychics is wrong. "Breakthrough" is a religious program covering current affairs from a biblical perspective and features sermons and commentaries by Rod Parsley.
