one sided racism
1 stars
good on principle, but like so many of Miss O's episodes, they seem to promote that racism is one sided. I saw many examples of caucasian students remorseful about their apparent racist feelings. This is all well and good. As usual for Miss O's brand of "cleansing and revelations" there were no counter apologies from African nor asian nor hispanic students to the caucasians. Evidently The school and Miss O. assume that only white students can be the source. Perhaps it was mere editing that eliminated the counter point.
As most reporting in our country it seems that only the white can offend "fill-in-the-blank". Whites are blamed for everything. Now, yes, whites were those that held slaves over a hundred years ago. NOT the majority of whites, nor was it ONLY whites. Either way, the people that are living today should not be held to blame for what happened over a century ago. Oprah only seems to perpetuate the "poor me" image of black america. As long as she and others do, blacks will only value themselves in relation to "those few" that have succeeded in spite of "All there is to overcome"
I believe the real freedom comes when any single person realizes they are valued in their own eyes. That they stand tall because it is THEIR nature, not just what someone else told them to do.
Almost makes Oprah herself seem like an old fashioned plantation owner. She tells folks what to do from the porch of her show and they jump. be it "favorite things" or political candidates. I am wondering if Obama was white, would she be in his corner? Or is her support another vote for reverse racism....

what are they thinking now? Evidently they fired any technical staff, as the science is shakey at best.
Why don't we ever see people in transit? They simply Pop into places.
what police force let's a csi handle evidence in such a haphazard manner? unmarked baggies, hair all flowing over evidence, contaminating scenes and sources.Csi's doing the collection, the lab work, Non existant technologies seemingly common in police offices. How far do they think fans will bend truth?
not worth watching anymore.

behind the scenes in the white house

Am watching the staff be "virtuous" about their sacrafice and not seeing their families for months at a time because of the job.
Didn't they read history? The founding fathers (an easily less world problems back then) didn't see family for YEARS at a time. Look at Franklin in France, Adams in France or even Adams in philadelphia while family was in mass. At least today they can fly and see them quickly when they can. It took months for a ship from france to the US in the early days. Even Philadelphia to Boston could take weeks of travel. They should just suck it up. get the job done and don't complain. Or get out of the way for the ones that don't whine.

interesting even if wrong
3 stars
I wouldn't use it for research for a lit or history of myth class, but otherwise it is engaging. If you ignore the fact that Gaius would have been dead for over a hundred years by then, or that Merlin is easily Aruthur's grandfather's age when he was still a tiny scrod. Or that Uther was dead by the time that merlin and arthur meet, or that in spite of "color blind casting" gwyneveire (SP) was white irish not african, and a noble, not a servant. That Mordred wasn't a druid, nor born yet..... but then who's picky if it's just tv?

amazing lack of detail attention
2 stars
if you're going to show pirates, and close up, please pay attention to details like holding their ponytails back with modern black rubber bands.... Really, that's just one of the obvious errors.
then too, Like to laugh at things like that --there should be a "funniest videos" for supposed documentary and re-enactments.
