Above Average, May Grow Old Though

4 stars
Saw the pilot and thought this was a well-written show. They give away a lot of information in the first episode, so I'm concerned the series may lose steam quickly. But overall, the acting is great and the cast is well-chosen.

Maybe The Series Will Be Better?

2 stars
Maybe the series will be better than the two-hour movie. The movie was heavy on gratuitous product placement and had a terrible plot. This may be a prime example of over-inflated ratings (what Knight Rider fan wouldn't have watched this, however bad?) encouraging a network to bring back a real turkey.

Saw The Pilot, Loved It

5 stars
I saw the pilot (thanks TPB!) and it was seriously cool. It's got top-of-the-line special effects (I hear the pilot cost $10M to make), impressive writing, a great cast and all the makings of a real contender against shows like Lost and Heroes.

Wow, Wow, Wow!

5 stars
Did I mention WOW? I saw the pilot for this series and it looks great. I didn't think I would enjoy it, but Anna Paquin is amazing in the pilot episode. She brings an alluring, girl-next-door-with-a-secret vibe that's really impressive. The male lead is also well-cast-- brooding, tormented, aloof. With the cancellation of "lighter" series such as Moonlight, this darker series may just the thing to fill the gap (and then some).
