The unfortunate thing about this show is I could see my mom wanting me to dance with her, too. This is truly disturbing and just about par for the course. What is next? I don't even wanna know!

OK -
The premise is tenable, but the reality is something that gives the shivers.
For some reason, this show comes off like a missing scene from Carrie or a Norman Bates dream sequence.
Some of the dances get way, WAY inside the personal space zone (which is OK, dance is intimate) - but when you realize that it is a parent / child combo, an icky, Lolita warning buzzer goes off in the subconscious...

i've never even seen the show, but i looked at the pictures, and some of them just look weird. it's cool that the parents and kids dance together, but the positions is the way they dance together in the photos and no doubtedly on tv from what the other viewers on here are saying is that they're way too close. now i heard for some dances you have to be really close like for the salsa. but i looks like it's even more than that in the pictures. not just the dads and daughters, but one or two pics with the moms and sons too.

the girls danced to close to pops. nasty. If they change that it might get better. I like the story line. Kicking off the cancer dad and the depress dad I believe is the wrong move. Everyone cheers for the needy and sappy stories

I think this show is kind of weird. And the father/daughter dancing thing has got to stop. I don't think that its a good idea to have them dancing so close. It just doesnt look right. And the mother/son thing is just stupid. Im was okay with just Dancing with the Stars.
