Ball Bounced, Julia Louis-Dreyfus Surpasses Lucy as Most-Nominated Emmys Actress

We all love Lucy, but apparently the TV Academy loves Julia Louis-Dreyfus a little more. On Thursday morning, JLD scored her 14th nod, surpassing television icon Lucille Ball as the actress with the most Emmy nominations ever. Louis-Dreyfus – who won last year for her role as Vice President Selena Meyer on "Veep" – added a second consecutive nomination to her impressive haul, which includes seven noms for her work as Elaine Benes on “Seinfeld” and her five consecutive noms for “The New Adventures of Old Christine.” Instead of analyzing their respective bodies of work and their noms vs. wins ratios, let’s just take a look at Julia gloating and Lucy griping!
