'Revenge' Season 3 Art: Here Comes the Blood

We've seen the Season 3 teaser of "Revenge" where Emily (Emily Van Camp) gets shot at close range on her wedding day, in her wedding white. Oh, the inconvenience!

Every rose that Emily Thorne carries in this eerie photograph has a thorn, and then some. The blood spills from the stems onto her alabaster hands as she looks down. We've all seen the staged wedding photo where the demure bride gazes down at her flowers, and we applaud ABC for this caustic spin on that cliché.

It bodes well for the new season and the work of the new showrunner, Sunil Nayar.

"Revenge" Season 3 premieres Sunday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
