Is Samuel L. Jackson Making an 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Cameo?

ABC's new superhero drama "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." had a Hulk-sized debut last week, with more than 16 million viewers sampling the high-octane "Avengers" spinoff. But this week's Episode 2 might be even bigger... thanks to one A-list star.

As first noted by Entertainment Weekly, a series of hints from the show's Facebook page and star Clark Gregg's Twitter seem to indicate that Samuel L. Jackson may reprise his "Iron Man" and "Avengers" role as S.H.I.E.L.D. head honcho Nick Fury in this week's closing credits. How's that for a cameo, Marvel fans?

First, a Episode 2 promo clip posted on Facebook yesterday implores viewers to "stay to the very end"... and ends with a S.H.I.E.L.D. logo bearing Fury's signature eye-patch:

Then Clark Gregg tweeted out these subtle-as-Thor's-hammer teases:

Now the notoriously secretive Marvel isn't about to confirm anything, but we're betting "Avengers" fans will have a nice, juicy Easter egg to savor Tuesday night. Either that, or we have permission to whack Agent Coulson upside the head. It's a win-win!
