Owen and Cristina Together Again in a 'Grey's Anatomy' Deleted Scene [Exclusive DVD Clip]
Drs. Cristina Yang and Owen Hunt are back together again.
The "Grey's Anatomy" power couple (played by Sandra Oh and Kevin McKidd) split during the Season 9 finale, when Yang realized they didn't want the same things out of life (you know, like kids), but in this exclusive DVD clip, they're sharing a scene. Unfortunately, it's work-related and even a bit awkward as we see this once-passionate pair walk on eggshells around one another.
When Yang goes into defense mode over a patient's status (he hasn't woken up in eight days) — reminding the hospital chief that she's "in the middle of this Lotus Valve trial" — Hunt calmly lets her know that he's not trying to micromanage her.

"I just didn't want to step on your toes," he says, after informing her that he merely asked the nurses to page him if the patient's condition changes.
Cue up the sentimental piano music and the softened look on Yang's face. We have a feeling Season 10 is going to be a long one with lots of ups and downs.
Of course, diehard "Grey's" fans and TV junkies in general already know that Sandra Oh has announced that she's leaving the show at the end of the upcoming season.
The five-time Emmy nominee told Entertainment Weekly she doesn't know what the show's writing team has planned for her character's relationship ("It sort of breaks my heart to not be in the arms of Kevin McKidd now. But who knows? It's a long season," she said), but when it comes to her ultimate exit, she doesn't particularly want a Denny Duquette-style death scene. "It can be anything," she said. "I mean, I don't want them to off me. I know people have died on this show. They could send her to the moon. I have no idea."

But before Dr. Yang checks out of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital for good, McKidd told the Hollywood Reporter, there will be plenty of scenes between the doomed couple in Season 10: "Cristina has given him this huge gift, and she, in a way, helps him at the beginning of the season — pushing him toward it in a very loving way. She's going to be helping him navigate new waters, trying to find a person who's going to be the person who has a kid with him. She's definitely encouraging him."
He also teased, "You'll see in the first few episodes that the attraction between Cristina and Owen still burns."
Translation: Expect even more workplace tension as the former lovers work closely together to manage the aftermath of that Seattle superstorm.
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 10 premieres on Thursday, 9/26 at 9 PM on ABC.
"Grey's Anatomy: The Complete Ninth Season" will be available on DVD on Tuesday, 8/27.
