At least Paul Millsap has a sense of humor about getting posterized by LeBron James

In case you missed it on Monday night, LeBron James did something awful to Paul Millsap in the final minute of the fourth quarter of a very good game between the Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks:

The mammoth dunk — delivered all of nine seconds after James had nailed a pull-up 3-pointer to cut Atlanta's lead to one, and all of three nights after the four-time Most Valuable Player did something very similar to Sacramento Kings rookie guard Ben McLemore — helped keep Miami close enough to be able to tie the game on Ray Allen's late free throws and send it to overtime, where the Heat eked out a 121-119 win to improve to 21-6 on the season.

The Heat needed their furious LeBron-fueled rally to come back thanks in large part to Millsap's excellent play — the perpetually underrated forward poured in 25 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, a career-best 7-for-10 mark from 3-point range against the two-time defending world champs. But while Miami came away from Monday's meeting with a healthy amount of respect for what Millsap and company are bringing to the table under new head coach Mike Budenholzer, the enduring image of Millsap's performance will, unfortunately, be his failed attempt to take a charge:

It's a tough world out there. All you can do, really, is face it with a smile ... as Millsap elected to do after the game on Twitter:

Taking a page out of the Brandon Knight playbook might not always be the wisest move, but in this case, it's a sound decision. Well played, Mr. Millsap, and better luck not #GettingGot next time.
