RG3 is trying to recruit Snoop Lion’s son to Baylor

Former Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III is now in on Baylor’s recruiting efforts of one of the nation's most coveted receivers.

RG3, who is now the starting quarterback for the Washington Redskins, sent Snoop Lion a text this weekend asking if his son, standout wide receiver Cordell Broadus, was looking at the Bears. The text rolled in at 4:41 a.m.

Baylor was the latest program to offer Broadus a scholarship for 2015.

Broadus is a four-star recruit from Diamond Barr, Calif., and has offers from all over the country, including Notre Dame, LSU, UCLA and USC. USC was the early favorite to land Broadus, especially with former coach Lane Kiffin out of the picture, but Snoop was seen working out with UCLA coach Jim Mora last week and sporting a UCLA sweatshirt.

We’ll see if RG3, Baylor’s only Heisman Trophy winner, can manage the hard sell and get Broadus into the Bears receiver-friendly offense.
