Maricar Reyes wanted to keep her makeup simple on her wedding day.

Last Sunday, Maricar Reyes has finally tied the knot with Richard Poon. And my, oh, my, Maricar indeed makes a beautiful bride. The celebrity makeup artist behind Maricar's bridal look was Mickey See who has also made up A-list celebrities like Kristine Hermosa, Priscilla Meirelles, and Jolina Magdangal on their wedding day. Style Factor gets the exclusive from the celebrity makeup artist on how to get that wedding-day glow like Maricar’s.

According to Mickey, Maricar just wanted a simple look that is fresh and blooming on her special day. “Yung parang wala lang,” Mickey relays what Maricar had explained to her. Mickey chose the color palette of flesh tones, pinks, and peach shades to match her fair skin tone.

For the base, Mickey used airbrush on her. It’s a technique of applying foundation that reveals a more flawless finish. While traditional foundations can look thick, airbrush looks more natural and seamless.

Makeup artist Mickey See used the color palette of fleshy tones, pinks, and peach shades for Maricar's makeup.

Mickey used fleshy tones for the eyes. “Maricar didn’t want anything too dramatic,” he says. He also attached false eyelashes with fine hair that looked really natural. He also thinly applied liner on the upper and lower lash line. For the brows, “I also just followed her natural arch using a light taupe shade.”

For the cheeks, peach works well on fair skin. “I only applied it on the apple of her cheeks to give emphasis on the cheek bones.”

Lastly, for the lips, Maricar didn’t want anything attention-grabbing so Mickey mixed shades of beige, nude and pink giving her pout a natural rosy effect.
