Last night, "American Idol's" top six finalists sang the songs of Queen, as well as songs of their own choosing--which included picks by Phillip Phillips and Elise Testone that had the judges criticizing then for supposedly being too "obscure" and "artsy." Ugh. So today, of course, my "Day After" co-host Matt Whitfield and I are totally questioning whether it's wise to overtly advise "Idol" contestants to dumb it down, and whether Steven, Randy, and J.Lo in particular even know what they're talking about.
Watch us dish about last night's performances and the judges' controversial critiques in the video above. Do we know what we're talking about? Feel free to chime in with your own thoughts on the message board below!
