Last night, the top six competed on "The Voice," singing two songs apiece: one of their personal picks, and one song selected by their respective coaches. In the latter category, some of the contestants (Terry McDermott, Cassadee Pope) got song selections that made sense, while others (Nicholas David, Melanie Martinez, Trevin Hunte) sadly did not. But luckily, all of them were able to redeem themselves, at least somewhat, when it came time to perform songs of their own choosing. Funny how that works, huh?
But regardless, two more contestants have to go home this evening--and with only six singers left, and all six of them being immensely talented, it's inevitable that my "The Day After" co-host Matt Whitfield and I are going to have to say some sad goodbyes tonight, possibly to our own favorites.
