Last night, "The X Factor" and "The Voice's" first publicly voted results shows of the season went head-to-head...with my man Jason Brock sadly getting the boot on "The X Factor," and eight "Voice" contestants--including a couple other favorites of mine, De'Borah and MacKenzie Bourg, and a favorite of my "Day After" co-host Matt Whitfield's, Loren Allred--also going home. It was a rough night for us singing show fanatics...especially for Matt, who seems to be taking the news particularly hard today.
For the first time in "The Day After" history, Matt and I are combining our "X Factor" and "Voice" discussions into one epic episode, with enough promotional props crammed into the frame to impress even more-is-more "X Factor" artistic director Brian Friedman. And there is SO much to discuss. Was Jason Brock robbed? Are "The X Factor's" contestant rankings surprising? Did "The Voice's" judges make the right picks? And most importantly...now that both shows are down to 12 contestants each, which one has the best talent left?
We dish about all this and more in the mega-chat below.
