‘Project Runway’: Who’s Who & Who’ll Win This Season?

Season 9 of "Runway" has plenty of contenders (Lifetime Television)
Season 9 of "Runway" has plenty of contenders (Lifetime Television)

After last week's Season 9 premiere, the "Project Runway" judges have narrowed the field from 20 to 15. While we feel like the show has barely scratched the surface of the crazy that these people may unleash, we've already picked our favorites and predicted whose style will take them all the way to Fashion Week.

Anthony
Stats: 28-year-old from Baton Rouge, LA
First Impression: He's colorblind but has a love of patterns, which makes sense. He also had testicular cancer. For the first challenge. he made a super-short skirt and embellished it with feathers in the crotch area.
Odds of Winning: 25 to 1. He's talented, but the odds seem stacked against him.

Anya
Stats: 29-year-old from Trinidad and Tobago
First Impression: A former Miss Universe contestant, she's stunningly gorgeous, but she has only been sewing for a few months. Yes, months.
Odds of Winning: 20 to 1. Her designs are exquisite, but will Heidi be able to deal with being around people more beautiful than her? Will Anya fall on her face at some point because of an uneven inseam?

Becky
Stats: 28-year-old from Portland, OR
First Impression: Her line has drab hues with fun linings, so we appreciate her use of color. We may have appreciated it more if her hair didn't match her first dress.
Odds of Winning: 30 to 1.

Bert
Stats: 57-year-old from Los Angeles, CA
First Impression: He's got the saddest story we've heard, with all of his friends and partner dying of AIDS and then his subsequent alcohol addiction. But he's also got some serious resume mentions, particularly since he worked with Halston.
Odds of Winning: 3 to 1. If he can stay modern, he's gonna be one to watch out for. Who cares if he claims to be 102 years old?

Bryce
Stats: 26-year-old from Portland, OR
First Impression: He seems adorable, and Heidi grabbed his feathery cape out of his hands to wear it during the audition rounds. So that's a good start, but his first challenge landed him in the middle of the pack.
Odds of Winning: 17 to 1. We're putting him smack in the middle here; he could really go either way.

Cecilia
Stats: 34-year-old from New York, NY
First Impression: She seems quietly bitchy and we expect her to bring the diva attitude later in the season (and hopefully a hairbrush for her unkempt hair).
Odds of Winning: 15 to 1. We doubt she'll win, but producers know what makes good TV.

Danielle
Stats: 26-year-old from Minneapolis, MN
First Impression: She does "Little House on the Prairie" clothes, but they're sheer. It's an interesting stylistic choice, to be sure.
Odds of Winning: 12 to 1. Not sure why we're ranking her so high, but there's something about her mousy voice and her style and her clearly competitive side that makes us think she might have some tricks up those insanely long sleeves.

Fallene
Stats: 29-year-old from Denver, CO
First Impression: She has a funky, hipster vibe and likes to do androgynous menswear for women's clothes. She also has a fondness for clowns puking rainbows.
Odds of Winning: 35 to 1. We're already questioning her taste level.

Joshua C.
Stats: 29-year-old from Snohomish, WA
First Impression: He's a former banker turned menswear designer, and he makes too-tight clothing for his model. In addition, he basically blamed the model for not giving him the right measurements, and shifted the blame to the other designers because they didn't tell him that his too-tight T-shirt and ill-fitting shorts stunk.
Odds of Winning: 45 to 1. Grow up and accept responsibility for your poor sewing skills. If Anya can figure it out, so can you.

Joshua M.
Stats: 25-year-old from Sunnyside, NY
First Impression: He's very metrosexual and likes wearing jackets without shirts to show off his toned chest. He also has a penchant for doing vests, and flipping them around backwards.
Odds of Winning: 22 to 1. He's fine. Just boring.

Julie
Stats: 35-year-old from Grand Junction, CO
First Impression: Most of her clothing is snowboard-inspired and she thinks outerwear and regular clothing are interchangeable. She also wears some really ugly pajamas, but at least she has the decency to be aware of her mistakes.
Odds of Winning: 10 to 1. Despite landing in the bottom for her first challenge, we've got a hunch that she'll end up going far, particularly if Shaun White ends up guest judging.

Kimberly
Stats: 35-year-old from Brooklyn, NY
First Impression: She likes to work out in sequins, so she's our "Romy and Michelle" dream come true. We love her bold use of colors and patterns and that she's good comic relief.
Odds of Winning: 6 to 1. Stylish and talented -- could be a winning combination.

Laura
Stats: 26-year-old from St. Louis, MO
First Impression: She is going to kill us with her annoying voice this season. She's very pampered and spoiled, and already is out to steal someone else's model. Plus, not exactly a genius with questions like, "Are you speaking foreign?"
Odds of Winning: 9 to 1. She might actually have talent, and we already dislike her, so she'll probably stick around forever.

Olivier
Stats: 22-year-old from New York, NY
First Impression: He's quiet and unassuming, but Heidi loves his look. He has a very monochromatic color scheme, which could get old quickly.
Odds of Winning: 16 to 1. He seems like a nice kid who has undeniable skills; we're just not sure if he's got the energy or style diversity for this series.

Viktor
Stats: 30-year-old from New York, NY
First Impression: We had to go back and watch the episode twice to make sure that he actually made it on the show, and we're still not convinced that he's not just part of the crew who just sneaks on camera once and a while. He's very neat and quiet.
Odds of Winning: 27 to 1. He'll need to stand out in order to stick around. Or maybe laying really, really, really, really, really low is his strategy.
