Germs be damned! "The Big Bang Theory's" Sheldon has finally locked lips with Amy.
The small screen smooch took place during Thursday's episode. The adorably awkward duo — who have been in a relationship, though not a physical one — shared their first kiss during a Valentine's Day date. While the smooch was accidental, Sheldon certainly enjoyed it, and they kissed a little longer.
Sheldon and Amy, played by Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik, were on a romantic getaway she planned aboard a restored train hoping to spark a little romance. But he saw through her scheme, called her out on it, and while confronting he kissed her to make a point … but the known germaphobe enjoyed it so much he didn't want to stop.
"That was nice," Amy said when they finally broke apart from the long kiss.
"Good," Sheldon shot back.
The quirky pair have been in a relationship for a while but his obsessive-compulsive behavior has put a wedge between them. Though Amy has certainly tried to woo him. In one episode, she kissed him — with the help of some liquid courage — but she was disappointed when he didn't kiss her back.
However, Thursday night was a whole different story. From the look on Sheldon's face you could tell he liked it. He really, really liked it.
Here is an inforgraphic timeline of the highlights and lowlights of "Shamy": the most awkward couple since the Dot and the Line. May we all find ourselves with as good a match this Valentine's Day.
