Last week's episode of "Castle" was downright shocking. Serial killer 3XK (Michael Mosley) is back. Whoa, right? Audiences were stunned, disturbed, and thrilled by the doppelgangers, the déjà vu, and that haunting song, Vera Lynn's "We'll Meet Again." Chills, right?
Yahoo TV has an exclusive look at the next episode, which features Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) dealing with an equally formidable opponent: a crying baby.
It's delightfully "Castle"-ian of the writers to follow up last week's drama with a light, funny babysitting scene. Castle is hands on, even though he isn't exactly comfortable with a baby in his arms (so cute). And Beckett has her hands full too, with a book about babies. She reads that "gently bouncing your baby should calm him or her down." And then she bolts, leaving Castle alone with the baby. He begs the little guy: "Just tell me what you want. I will give it to you."
Beckett comes back with a Pilates ball — bouncing! — and we agree with Castle when he calls her "genius" after the baby stops bawling. As in real life, one problem is immediately replaced by another. The baby spits up and Castle hands off the baby to Beckett so he can clean himself up. Beckett is comically ill at ease holding a baby and Castle barks, "Not on the chair! Not on the rug!"
We all know what comes after a belch ... and you'll have to watch the clip to see who gets the honor of changing the diaper, Castle or Beckett.
"Castle" airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
