Someone's on their way from Mystic Falls to New Orleans with one goal in mind: revenge!

The first crossover between "The Originals" and "The Vampire Diaries" takes place Tuesday, when Tyler (Michael Trevino) heads to the Big Easy. But rather than letting the good times roll, the werewolf/vampire hybrid is dead set on getting "revenge against Klaus, which is a reoccurring theme," Trevino told Yahoo TV and other outlets at a set visit in Atlanta, Georgia recently.

Over four-plus seasons of "The Vampire Diaries," Tyler's gone from a character who "wasn't really a nice guy" to a mature hero who romanced Caroline. But after the death of his mother at the hands of Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Tyler is throwing down the gauntlet. He even broke up with true love Caroline in order to focus on his quest for vengeance.

Watch a promo from the episode:

"They've really turned him into this guy with nothing to lose," Morgan told us. "Everything has been taken from him … So he comes into this absolutely reckless and fearless due to the fact that he's lost everything."

Of course, when Tyler arrives in New Orleans, he'll find that he's just one of many people with a vendetta against Klaus. So, is it possible he teams up with Klaus's former protégé‎, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), in his war against the Original?

"He'll shake things up and definitely have interactions with multiple characters," Davis teased. "Marcel might be one of them."

Aside from Klaus, Tyler has history with another character in "The Originals" — werewolf Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), who just happens to be Klaus's baby mama. That should make for one interesting catch-up conversation! Fans will find out a bit more about the history between these former wolf buddies, Tonkin noted, and Tyler is "a little disappointed in Hayley and the situation that she's in," she said.

The Tyler vs. Klaus fight won't be physical, though, since if Klaus dies, Tyler does, too. Instead, Tyler will be waging a different kind of war — one of hearts and minds, perhaps.

As Trevino explained, Tyler spent the summer "roaming around with different wolf packs all around the mountains and that's how he's been gathering his information. With that, he comes fully loaded with information not only to give to Hayley, but to backstab Klaus."

Adding even more stakes to their face-off? Klaus's infatuation with Tyler's ex, Caroline. But don't expect her to get involved. Candice Accola said, "There's a lot going on in New Orleans without throwing Caroline into the mix!"

"The Originals" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
