'Game Change' Trailer Returns to 2008 Campaign

The 2012 race for the White House is well underway. But a new trailer for the upcoming HBO movie, "Game Change," showcases the historic 2008 presidential campaign: specifically, the rise of one Sarah Palin. Remember her?

Here's what we know: In 2008, John McCain picked the Tea Party darling to be his running mate on the Republican ticket for president. The dramatic retelling of events from the nonfiction best-seller "Game Change" takes a behind-the-scenes look at the hockey mom from Wasilla, Alaska.

The TV drama features Julianne Moore as a ringer for Palin, the maverick governor who became an overnight star -- and an endless headache for the campaign. Woody Harrelson plays aggrieved campaign manager Steve Schmidt, and Ed Harris plays a fuddy-duddy McCain.

The clip has the vice-presidential candidate as a loose cannon running away with the campaign. Palin whispers at the end, "I have to win this thing. I so don't want to go back to Alaska." Spoiler alert: She doesn't win the thing.
