Adult Swim Renews ‘Childrens Hospital’ for Season 7

“Childrens Hospital” will return to Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim for Season 7, the network announced on Tuesday.

The ridiculous comedy, which has won two Emmys, is created and executive produced by Rob Corddry (“Hot Tub Time Machine”), who will soon be seen alongside Dwayne Johnson in the HBO series “Ballers.”

Jonathan Stern and David Wain (“Wet Hot American Summer”) also write and executive produce the twisted take on network medical dramas. “Childrens Hospital” is produced by Abominable Pictures, The Corddry Company and Warner Bros. Television Group’s Studio 2.0.

Warner Bros. Television distributes the series, which is based upon the Webby Award-winning digital series that debuted on TheWB.com in 2008.

“I’m happy,” Corddry said in a statement. “After our Season 6 cliff hanger, people will be dying for us to turn our backs on the notion of series continuity even more.”

Premiere episodes from the current season will air on Adult Swim every Friday night at midnight.
