Love is war! That's the concept behind the next season of "Survivor," which will feature "the return of great characters and their relatives," said CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler.

On Sunday's finale of "Survivor: Caramoan," host Jeff Probst showed a brief teaser video of blood spilling into water. Fans began to speculate on Twitter about what it meant, and sites like Reality Blurred revealed spoilers that Season 27 would include family members.

"I'm very stoked about what we're doing," Probst told the Hollywood Reporter. "It's another big twist to the game. Risky for sure, but that's what makes it so appealing"

Neither Tassler nor Probst explained how the format would work, if the returning players would team up with their relatives or battle them on opposite tribes.

This will be the second season in a row to bring back former players; "Caramoan" pitted fans against favorites, with two-time player John Cochran winning the $1 million prize.

Reality Blurred also posted unconfirmed spoilers about which returning players will be in the "Blood vs. Water" cast -- including someone from the very first season and someone returning for his fourth try at winning the title of Sole Survivor!
