Arsenio Hall’s re-entry into late-night television is already having its ups and downs. At least in the ratings.
“The Arsenio Hall Show,” which launched in syndication on Monday, enjoyed a ratings rebound with its Wednesday night show, stabilizing after a second-day drop that saw its ratings fall about 30 percent from its premiere in the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics.
Wednesday night’s episode posted a 0.9 rating/4 share in the 18-49 demographic most important to advertisers, a 29 percent jump over Tuesday night’s 0.7/3.
Monday’s premiere posted a 1.0/4 in the demo.
Among the 25-54 crowd, Wednesday’s show had a 1.0/4 — up 25 percent from Tuesday for a 1.0/4 but still slightly down from the 1.2/5 that Monday’s premiere drew.
For its first three days, “Arsenio” has averaged a 0.9/4 in the 18-49 demo and a 1.0/4 in the 25-54 demo, the latter of which is a virtual tie for first in its markets with “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” which has averaged a 1.0/5 in the demo this week.
