‘How to Get Away With Murder’ Books Famke Janssen for Recurring Role in Season 2

“How to Get Away with Murder” has booked “X-Men” star Famke Janssen for Season 2, TheWrap has confirmed.

Janssen, who comic book movie fans should recognize for her portrayal of telekenetic mutant Jean Grey, will recur on the ABC drama when it returns in the fall. She will make her first appearance during the Season 2 premiere on Sept. 24. No details of her character have been released.

She joins fellow newcomer Kendrick Sampson (“The Vampire Diaries”), who will also make his first appearance on the series during the Season 2 premiere.

“How to Get Away With Murder” stars Viola Davis as high-profile defense attorney and law professor Annalise Keating. Afred Enoch, Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King, Matt McGorry, Karla Souza, Charlie Weber and Liza Weil also star.

Created by Pete Nowalk and executive produced by Shonda Rhimes, the creator of “Scandal” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” the first season of “How to Get Away With Murder” opened with 14 million total viewers and a 3.8 among adults 18-49 and tied the best series debut of the season with Fox’s “Empire.”
