ABC has just released the names and bios of Des's suitors, and here's what we know from the get go: There are three guys named Mike, a Zack and a Zak, two Nicks, and a bevy of boys with B-names like Brandon, Bryden, and Brooks. But name games aside, let's get to the good stuff.
Here's the scoop on Des's 25 guys -- half of whom you'll never see again after the first episode!
According to the premiere press release, the show's opening-night hijinks include a romantic dance move gone wrong, a magician who tries to make the magic happen, and a Prince Charming cloaked in a suit of armor. (Well, someone had to outdo Season 7's masked man, Jeff Medolla!) One guy even plays the "cute" card by sending his 4-year-old son out of the limo to meet Des before him. (Hey, is that even allowed?) But what else is there to know about this season's batch of bachelors?
The guys' occupations range from a painting contractor (Mikey) to an ER doctor (Larry), with lots of financial guys and entrepreneurs in the mix. (Aw don't worry, there might be a male model or two in the bunch -- at least as a side job.)
There's also a guy named Will Smith (really!), so how long do you think it will take before the other guys nickname him The Fresh Prince? Answer: Not long.
Former Venezuelan pro soccer player Juan Pablo has a favorite childhood memory -- winning a youth soccer tournament -- but don't ask him what his favorite book is, because he doesn't read.
You've got to love Drew's bachelor bio. When asked what three things he'd bring if he were stranded on a desert island, he answers, "A sailboat, a radio, a case of Cabernet, and a few books." Um, that's four, and if you have a sailboat, you're not really stranded!
And there's always a showoff in the bunch. One of the Zaks flaunts his six-pack and strips to his skivvies on opening night, much to the annoyance of some of the more out of shape, er, modest guys. He even introduces himself to Des by saying, "Will you accept these abs?"
Awesome abs aside, what kind of guy is Des actually looking for? The 26-year-old "Bachelorette" star told People, "I like someone who's spontaneous and adventurous and enjoys every aspect of life. And not to get too serious, but someone who could be my best friend and be a support system, someone who I can see as the father of my kids."
