‘Barely Famous’ Gets Season 2 Order From VH1

VH1 is ready for another round of fake reality TV.

The network has ordered a second season of “Barely Famous,” a tongue-in-cheek exploration of reality TV and the hypocrisy of everyday life in Los Angeles.

The second season will premiere in 2016, the network said Tuesday.

The series stars sisters Erin and Sara Foster as siblings who who say they would never do a reality show, but are being filmed by a camera crew. “Barely Famous” features their awkward celebrity encounters and efforts to book their next big gig– which usually go horribly wrong in their trademark humorous style.

We’re thrilled to renew ‘Barely Famous’ and can’t wait to work with them on the second season.”

The series, which premiered in March, is executive produced by Jason Carbone and Nick Lee for Good Clean Fun and Oly Obst, Josh Lieberman and Kimberly Carver for 3 Arts, with the Fosters also executive producing. Levison, Jill Holmes, Kristen Kelly, Fernando Mills and Tricia Biggio executive produce for VH1.

“We are thrilled that our audience fell in love with Erin and Sara and made ‘Barely Famous’ appointment television,” Carbone said. “And now, to have VH1 pick-up season 2 is icing on the cake. We have lots more stories to tell and can’t wait to get to work. “
