Billy Eichner Gets a Surprise from Lisa Rinna on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ (Video)

Billy Eichner is famous for ambushing people on the streets of New York, but he was the one who got a surprise on Monday.

The creator of Funny Or Die’s “Billy on the Street” appeared on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” to promote his new Hulu show, “Difficult People,” which also Julie Klausner and is executive produced by “Saturday Night Live” alum Amy Poehler.

The conversation quickly turned to Eichner’s recent Twitter snub, however.

“He was overjoyed when he discovered that Lisa Rinna was following him on Twitter, then he was crushed when she unfollowed him,” host Andy Cohen explained. “She is following him now but the mystery still remains.”

But guess what? “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star was on the phone to reveal the truth behind the social media burn.

“There are so many things I do that I don’t even understand myself. I think I followed him and then he was talking too much and I thought ‘I don’t want to follow him anymore,'” came the bizarre explanation from Rinna.

When Cohen asked why she had then re-followed him, Eichner had the answer: “Because I called her out on it on ‘Conan.'”

“That’s right,” Rinna confessed. “Anybody with the balls to call me out … I am all on their team, I am all for them. I am so sorry I hurt your feelings.”

“I do love Lisa Rinna and I have a weird affection for her,” Eichner confessed.

“Difficult People” premieres on Hulu Wednesday, Aug. 5. “Watch What Happens Live” airs at 11 p.m. on Bravo.
