Bonnie and Clyde have finally been apprehended.

TVLine has learned that Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild, Speed Racer) and Holliday Grainger (The Borgias) have landed the title roles in A+E Networks’ four-hour miniseries remake of Bonnie & Clyde, which will air simultaneously on History and Lifetime.

The project, produced by Smash‘s Craig Zadan and Neil Meron and directed by Driving Miss Daisy helmer Bruce Beresford, is based on the true story of bank robbing fugitive couple Bonnie Parker (Grainger) and Clyde Barrow (Hirsch).

The cast also includes Holly Hunter, as Bonnie’s mom, and William Hurt, as [MAJOR SPOILER ALERT] the Texas ranger who ends up catching and killing the pair.

As TVLine reported in October, Miley Cyrus was originally eyed to play Bonnie, but the actress-singer dropped out unexpectedly for unspecified reasons.
