Charlie Sheen is backpedaling and apologizing to Ashton Kutcher after going on a Two and a Half Men rant last week.

"I'm tired of lying," Sheen said in a phone interview with TMZ Live on Thursday. "I'm tired of pretending the show doesn't suck. I'm tired of pretending Ashton doesn't suck. I'm tired of pretending they're not completely adrift."

On Tuesday, Sheen took back some of his vitriol. He posted a formal apology to Kutcher on his website, but refused to recant his statements about Two and a Half Men in general. "Dear Ashton- My bad. I was disrespectful to a man doing his best. I got excited and threw you into a crossfire. The rest of my statement I stand behind. You, however, deserve better. Safety in your travels good sir. — The 'late' Charlie Harper."

Up until last week, Sheen had been keeping relatively quiet on the topic of his former CBS comedy. Following months of lengthy rants against Men showrunner Chuck Lorre and the show itself, Sheen has since done damage control, telling anyone in the media who would listen that he has reformed — and that he'd landed a new gig at FX.
