Charlie Sheen is in hot water after he was videotaped using a homophobic slur at an event Friday in Mexico.

In a video obtained by TMZ and filmed at the opening of his new bar at the El Ganzo hotel in Cabo San Lucas, the Anger Management star is heard shouting profanities during his introduction. "How we doing?  Lying bunch of f----- a--holes, how we doing?"

The event included performances by Slash as well as guests such as Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Sheen, 47, later explained to TMZ about the incident that he meant to say "maggot" but "I have a lisp." He added: "I meant no ill will and intended to hurt no one and I apologize if I offended anyone."
