Dancing's Bristol Palin: "I Like Gays. I'm Not a Homophobic"
Bristol Palin is going to have fun on Dancing with the Stars All-Stars — and she won't mind if she gets a gay pro partner.

"I like gays. I'm not a homophobic and I'm so sick of people saying that," Palin said at ABC's Television Critics Association fall TV previews Friday when asked about her political views. "Just because I'm for traditional marriage doesn't mean I'm scared or anything of anyone else. And I don't hate anybody. People are gonna make up stuff about me no matter what. And whatever. I'm gonna go dance and I'm gonna have fun. ... It's not about politics. It's not about traditional marriage or anything like that. It's about dancing. That's all I have to say about it."
Palin, who finished third on Season 11 with Mark Ballas, is one of 13 Dancing alums returning for the all-star season and received the lion's share of the questions from reporters about why she was doing another reality show despite the negative press. Her Lifetime series Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp has flopped in the ratings and is embroiled in lawsuits. Meanwhile, her father, Todd Palin, is starring on NBC's new reality series Stars Earn Stripes, which coincidentally features Nick Lachey, the brother of her Dancing castmate Drew Lachey.
"I definitely don't think it's our [family] business," Palin said. "I just think that you guys will talk about us either way and I might as well be doing something enjoyable and fun and with a good group of people, and that's why I'm doing it."

She added: "God provides opportunities like this and you can either go out and do them or not do them."
The 21-year-old single mom bristled at the suggestion she enjoys the publicity since she could've eschewed the spotlight after the 2008 election by repeating her mantra about how she's out to have "fun" on the show. "You guys — I do mean the media — will write about me if I'm in my little life in Alaska or if I'm in L.A., so I might as well just have fun with it."
She later tersely conceded: "Do I like to provide for my son? Yes, I do."
