Donald Trump’s Miss USA Pageant to Air on Reelz

Donald Trump’s Miss USA Pageant Cost Reelz No More Than $100,000 (Exclusive)

Donald Trump’s Miss USA Pageant has found a television home as the real estate mogul and Reelz have agreed on a deal to air it exclusively on the cable satellite channel.

“The decision on the part of Reelz to acquire the rights to the Miss USA Pageant was based on our belief that this special event, and the women who compete in it, are an integral part of American tradition,” CEO Stan E. Hubbard Thirsdsy in a statement.

“As one of only a few independent networks, we decided to exercise our own voice and committed ourselves to bringing this pageant to American viewers everywhere.” No details of the agreement to air the pageant at 8 PM on the summer Sunday were revealed but with the ex-Celebrity Apprentice’s former network partners jettisoning him, the sat/cabler probably purchased the show up at a fire sale price. “The Miss USA Pageant is a perfect fit on Reelz where movies, entertainment and celebrity come together every day of the year,” Hubbard concluded.

Reelz has significantly less viewership than NBC and Univision–the networks the pageant were set to air on before Trump created a nationwide firestorm over comments about Mexican immigrants being rapists and drug lords–seen in 60 percent of American homes with one or more television.

For Trump, controversy has counted: he’s risen to the number 2 position in New Hampshire, Iowa, and nationwide. His rise will almost certainly guarantee him a spot in the first Republican debate on Fox News Channel in August.
