Emmys Hires Louis J. Horvitz to Direct 2015 Awards Telecast

Louis J. Horvitz has been set to direct the 67th annual Emmy Awards, and Danette Herman, Bob Dickinson and Baz Halpin have joined the production team, it was announced Thursday.

Herman and Dickinson are returning this year in their respective roles as co-producer and lighting designer. Halpin has been brought on to serve as production designer, and Tamlyn Wright will serve as co-designer.

This will be Horvitz’s seventeenth time directing the Emmy Awards telecast, and he has also directed the Oscars 12 times, winning seven Emmys for his work.

Emmy Award-winning producer Don Mischer and partners Charlie Haykel and Juliane Hare were named as the telecast’s producers in March.

“Saturday Night Live” alum and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” actor Andy Samberg is set to host. The show will be broadcast live on Fox from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
