Exclusive: Miley Cyrus Flees Lifetime/History Bonnie & Clyde Miniseries

This is pretty uncool: Miley Cyrus is no longer in the running to play the female lead in Bonnie & Clyde, a four-hour miniseries in development for cable siblings History and Lifetime, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Cyrus had been in negotiations to play Bonnie in the project, which is being shepherded by Smash exec producers, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.

It’s not clear what led to the breakdown in talks.

Later this month, Cyrus kicks off a multi-episode arc as a love interest for Angus T. Jones’ Jake on CBS’ Two and a Half Men.
