Vampire Diaries Exclusive: True Blood's Janina Gavankar Relocates to Mystic Falls

True Blood‘s Janina Gavankar is shape-shifting into a Fox sitcom star.

The actress — who plays Sam’s skinwalker girlfriend Luna on HBO’s vamp drama — is joining Fox’s midseason comedy The Goodwin Games in a recurring role, TVLine has learned exclusively.

From How I Met Your Mother exec producers Carter Bays, Craig Thomas and Chris Harris, the high-concept comedy follows three estranged siblings — played by Becki Newton, Scott Foley and TJ Miller — who are forced to come together in order to inherit their late father’s fortune.

Gavankar, whose pre-True Blood credits include The L Word, The Gates and Traffic Light, will play Hannah, the ex-girlfriend (and baby mama) of Miller’s character.
