Fact Checking Rupert: His Tweet Misses Steve Jobs’ Death Anniversary By 23 Days

This is one of the reasons why it’s so much fun to follow Rupert Murdoch’s messages on Twitter. In a tweet this afternoon he says that today is the “anniversary of Steve Jobs’ death,” adding “We miss him, always will.” But what he missed was the real anniversary of Steve Jobs’ death — which was October 5.

Maybe he was distracted by all the other things on his mind. Earlier today he continued his campaign to defeat President Obama: “Benghazi debate still hot. Most interesting is Obama still refusing use words ‘Muslim terrorism’ After 4 years, now this.” He’s also monitoring Hurricane Sandy: “New York, New Jersey shutting down for Sandy. Eerie feeling, but kids getting ready to celebrate no school.”
