Will Ferrell, Octavia Spencer to Guest Star on ‘Drunk History’ Season 3

Will Ferrell and Oscar winner Octavia Spencer will guest star on the upcoming third season of Comedy Central’s “Drunk History,” an individual with knowledge of the casting told TheWrap.

Ferrell, who also executive produces the show, will play children’s author Roald Dahl, while Spencer will play abolitionist Harriet Tubman.

The two are just a small portion of the high-profile stars who will act out famous scenes from history as told by drunk narrators.

Josh Hartnett will also appear on the show as “Gone With the Wind” actor Clark Gable, while “Game of Thrones” alum Jason Momoa will appear as pirate Jean Lafitte.

Sam Rockwell and Dennis Quaid will also guest star on the show, playing Las Vegas gangsters Bugsy Siegel and Lucky Lucciano respectively.

“Drunk History” was renewed for a third season in July 2014. The second season was up 26 percent among the 18-49 demographic most important to advertisers versus its first run, and up 17 percent among total viewers.
