Fox Is Developing the Prison Break Revival No One Asked For

Following yesterday's news that Fox is developing another 24 reboot without series star Kiefer Sutherland, this next bit of news should probably come as no surprise.

According to TV Line, the network is also eyeing a limited series revival of Prison Break. At least this one is said to have its original stars attached. Like last year's 24: Live Another Day event series, this new chapter of the Prison Break saga would be an open-and-closed story.

Prison Break originally aired on Fox from 2005 to 2009 and starred Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell. The actors recently reunited when they both guest-starred on Season 1 of The CW's breakaway hit The Flash. They will reunite again when they reprise those same roles on the network's new midseason drama DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

Was this brief on-screen reunion enough to trick Fox executives into thinking this was a good idea? Prison Break was a series that should only have existed as a limited series event. Now they're trying to stretch this story even more?

This is why we can't have nice things.
