Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner has filed a lawsuit against toy company Hasbro, claiming that a new "Littlest Pet Shop" toy wrongfully appropriates her name and for financial gain, The Washington Post reports. She filed the lawsuit earlier this week in a U.S. District Court in New Jersey.
The core of the suit? A toy hamster named "Harris Faulkner," which the anchor claims not only bears her name but was designed in her professional image, "in particular tone of its complexion, the shape of its eyes, and the design of its eye makeup," reads the lawsuit.
Other toys in the series bear the names "Mira Surrey," "Wolfgang North" and "Gerry Goldman."

"Hasbro's manufacture, sale, and distribution of the Harris Faulkner Hamster Doll is extremely concerning and distressing to Faulkner," court documents state, also noting that Faulkner, a six-time News Emmy winner, was "extremely distressed" to have her name attached to a potential choking hazard and that the toy endangers her journalistic credibility.
And of course, there's also the note that "Hasbro's portrayal of Faulkner as a rodent is demeaning and insulting."
While Harris Faulkner isn't exactly a common name, Hasbro's use of the name could be a coincidence - but we can see why Faulkner may not be too happy about it. Perhaps she would have preferred a My Little Pony version?
