‘The Frankenstein Code’ Gets New Title From Fox
Fox has renamed “The Frankenstein Code” — again.
Originally originally called “Frankenstein” in the working title stage, the Rob Kazinsky (“True Blood”) drama will now launch as “Lookinglass.”
“Lookinglass” follows a disgraced, 75-year-old ex-sheriff, whose life ends at the hands of corrupt cops. He’s brought back to life and given a second chance by a pair of young tech scientists — twins Otto (Adhir Kalyan) and Mary (Dilshad Vadsaria) — as a 35-year-old with unpredictable near-superhuman abilities.
The scientists’ company name is Lookinglass, hence the appropriate new title.

Producers for the second-chance drama have been steadily distancing themselves from the “Frankenstein” moniker, as the show’s sci-fi, parts-to-person concept is clearly influenced by Mary Shelley‘s novel and its many on-screen adaptations, but otherwise unrelated.
“Lookinglass,” which also stars Tim DeKay, Philip Baker Hall and Ciara Bravo, will premiere in 2016 on Fox.
