Gary Carr only thinks he's the first black character on the PBS period drama "Downton Abbey."
With the help of Funny or Die, Diddy sets the record straight -- even if he can't say "Downton" correctly. Apparently, the former Sean Combs (and former lots of other stage names) has been in the cast since Day 1 -- we've just been overlooking him.
Funny or Die inserted Diddy in pivotal scenes over the first three seasons. And the music mogul did not miss an opportunity to plug Ciroc vodka. Oh ... and he also tried to get Lady Grantham and Mrs. Crawley to make out a little bit. Gross.
Diddy plays Lord Wilcott, the new owner of Downton Abbey and apparently the founder of IBM. He then flirts with pretty much every cast member on the show, including Thomas, who finally gets some love -- though Diddy then shoots him. So, short-lived romance.
Diddy also throws the manor's first White Party -- though I guess you could say every party the house has ever thrown could be considered a white party until Season 4.
Lord Wilcott's best line: "This World War is so dreadful. I pray there's not a World War II."
