'Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce' Season 2 Sneak Peek: Retta Reveals the Real Face of Divorce

Just when you think the “new face of divorce” involves a shiny, happy new life filled with facials and Pilates, along comes Retta to give you a dose of reality. In this exclusive clip from tonight’s Season 2 premiere of Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, Retta appears as Barbara, a divorcee who’s dealing with a special needs kid, a mom with Alzheimer’s, and a deadbeat ex who’s shacked up with her sister.

The Parks and Recreation alum kicks off the recurring role as a rival editor to Abby (Lisa Edelstein) in the Bravo drama, and in the premiere episode, “Rule #58: Avoid the Douchemobile,” she’s not exactly welcoming her new co-worker with open arms. Instead, Barbara gives the new divorcee on the block a one-word description of her own post-divorce life (and it’s not a pretty word).
