HBO Names Nora Skinner SVP of Programming

Film producer Nora Skinner has joined HBO as Senior Vice President of Programming, the company announced Thursday.

In her new role based in Santa Monica, Skinner will be responsible for overseeing the development and production of both current and new original drama series. She will report to Michael Ellenberg, Executive Vice President of Programming.

“We are thrilled to have Nora joining the drama team at HBO,” said Ellenberg in a statement. “Nora brings a wealth of experience working with some of the finest talents in the business, in addition to her exceptional skills with story and a great eye for talent and material. We are fortunate to have Nora joining the company and look forward to her contributions in the years to come.”

Skinner’s film credits include “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl,” “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close,” “The Reader” and “Doubt.”

Previously, Skinner was the executive vice president of Production and Development at Indian Paintbrush. Before joining Indian Paintbrush, she was the senior vice president of Development at Scott Rudin Productions in New York.
