HBO's 'Veep' Starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus: See Exclusive Poster

In this election year, the cable news networks aren’t the only ones benefitting from an increased political presence on television. HBO scored its biggest original-movie ratings in years with “Game Change” — the biopic about the 2008 McCain-Palin campaign — and the channel has high hopes for its upcoming inside-the-Beltway comedy “Veep.”

The series, which has been well-received by critics who've gotten an early look, stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Seinfeld”) as a U.S. senator who becomes vice president and finds out the job is nothing like she expected. The cast also includes Tony Hale (“Arrested Development”), Reid Scott (“The Big C”), and Anna Chlumsky (“My Girl”).

“Veep” premieres April 22 at 10pm ET on HBO.
