She may not be nominated for an Oscar this year, but funnylady Melissa McCarthy has her own right to celebrate today, as her latest film Identity Thief is once again No.1 in America.
After losing the top spot last weekend to A Good Day to Die Hard, the comedy (also starring Jason Bateman) siphoned $14.1 million from the box office, narrowly beating out Dwayne Johnson's Snitch, which debuted to the tune of $13 million.
The other big weekend premiere, Keri Russell's horror Dark Skies, opened in fifth place with $8.9 million, while Escape From Planet Earth ($11 million) and Safe Haven ($10.6 million) landed at third and fourth, respectively.
Last weekend's champion, Die Hard 5, took a drastic hit after its monstrous opening and was nowhere to be found among the weekend's top 10.
