Jenny Slate is reuniting with “Obvious Child” filmmakers Gillian Robespierre and Elisabeth Holm for an FX road trip comedy co-starring Ari Graynor, the company announced Monday.

Production begins Tuesday on the pilot following two women (Slate and Graynor) who become friends, make a movie together and proceed to embark on a cross-country road trip.

Robespierre is directing the untitled pilot she co-wrote with Holm, and the two will also serve as executive producers along with Slate and A24 Films’ Ravi Nandan and John Hodges.

Slate, an alum of “Saturday Night Live,” currently co-stars on FX’s “Married,” which returns for Season 2 on July 16. Graynor most recently headlined CBS’ “Bad Teacher” series adaptation.

Slate is represented by WME, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Josh Sandler at Gray Krauss Stratford Sandler Des Rochers.
