Jimmy Kimmel Shares Even More Horrifyingly Mean Comments From YouTube Gaming Community (Video)

Jimmy Kimmel is still not playing nice with the video game community.

On Friday, the ABC late-night host took a shot at YouTube’s new Gaming platform, on which users upload videos of themselves playing video games for others to watch. “Watching another person play video games is like going to a restaurant and having another person eat your food for you,” he said at the time. “When I was a kid you only watched other kids play video games when you ran out of quarters.”

The gaming community did not respond favorably to those comments, heavily disliking the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” video and serving up some truly nasty opinions in the comments section. In true Kimmel fashion, the man behind “Mean Tweets” read some of those comments on his Monday night show. That video beget even more unkind responses, which he shared on Tuesday.

The first one began: “Jimmy I hope you get AIDS.”

The best insult was probably, “If you were on life support I would plug it out and charge my phone.”

Another even threatened: “I dare you to start your car in the morning.”

Kimmel later announced that he is taking one user up on an offer to watch some YouTube Gaming together; surely that “JKL” clip will generate a ton of mean statements as well.
