Jon Stewart Mocks Chris Christie’s Presidential Bid, Compares Him to ‘Egomaniac’ Donald Trump

Another presidential candidate just means more fresh meat for Jon Stewart, who has been having a field day with so many clowns joining the race for the White House.

And with 17 major candidates currently in the running, “there is already a whiff of desperation,” Stewart said.

The “Daily Show” host’s latest target was New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who officially declared himself as a candidate this week.

“Why, why, why?” the Comedy Central star asked on Wednesday night’s episode as he aired Christie’s laughable announcement speech.

As for Christie’s explanation as to why only 65 percent of New Jersey residents think he will make a good president by claiming that they “want him to stay,” Stewart compared it to a pathetic breakup story.

“That is the saddest thing I have ever heard,” he said.

However, it’s not that the people of his home state don’t want to let him go, Stewart explained, it’s that Christie’s already finished in second place in the key “egomaniac primary,” behind none other than Donald Trump.
